Nick has been with Baird since 2007, spending his first 8 years in Baird’s New York Institutional Equities division before forming The Wallace Group in 2015. Nick works with high-net-worth clients on customized portfolios as well as their financial planning needs. Prior to moving into wealth management, Nick worked closely on stock positions with the world’s largest mutual funds and hedge funds, and helped build Baird's Manhattan and Connecticut offices.
He has a BS magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University where he was a recruited walk-on for the baseball team. He has a Master of Public Policy from George Washington University and the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designation through the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. Nick was named a “Top 40 under 40” by On Wall Street. He has been in Baird’s Chairman’s Club since 2015, and served on the firm’s Inclusion & Diversity Committee
Outside the office, Nick has been a Governing Member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and is actively involved with Michigan Shores Club, where he can be found on the paddle tennis courts. He and his wife live in the Chicago suburbs with their three children and English Bulldog.
